Welcome to the Show!
Welcome to the Mission Magic 2026 all-school musical adventure! We’re thrilled your student will be joining us on stage (or behind the scenes) for this year’s production of Madagascar Jr.
This page includes everything you need to know for next steps, including classroom access, communication, and ways your family can help make this show a success.
All official communication, rehearsal announcements, and volunteer updates will be shared through our Madagascar Jr. Google Classroom. All registered families will receive an invitation via email to join the classroom — keep an eye on your inbox.
In addition to parents/guardians, we also encourage participating students to join the classroom directly so they can access materials, listen to rehearsal tracks, and stay looped in on schedule changes. They will likely need to join with a personal account, not their San Juan Unified account, due to district permission restrictions.
We’ll use Google Classroom as our primary communication hub. Here’s how it will work:
Classroom Stream: Quick announcements, reminders, and schedule notes.
Classroom Materials: Scripts, music tracks, choreography videos, costume notes, and forms.
Mobile App: Install the Google Classroom app for the fastest updates.
Email notifications can be delayed or filtered, but the Google Classroom mobile app sends real-time push notifications for new posts, schedule updates, rehearsal notes, and direct messages. We highly recommend that at least one parent/guardian — and all participating students — install the app.
Download the Google Classroom app:
This is the quickest way to stay updated and ensure nothing gets missed. If you ever miss something or join late — don’t worry! Everything will still be posted in the Classroom.
We’re here to help every step of the way! Email play chair Mitch Villierme with any questions.
A show of this size takes a village — and we truly mean it. Volunteering is flexible, fun, and a great way to be part of the Mission Magic. No experience required — we’ll train you and match you with tasks you feel comfortable doing.
High-Need Roles:
Costumes – planning, shopping, sewing, or simple “handy helper” tasks
Props and Sets – building, crafting, painting
Backstage Support – supervising students during dress rehearsals and shows
Rehearsal Helpers – helping in small group breakouts
Sponsorship Outreach – helping connect us with local businesses and supporters

Each year, we partner with local businesses and community sponsors to offset the costs of our play. We encourage all families to share our 2026 Sponsor Packet with any businesses you know — dentists, orthodontists, realtors, restaurants, small businesses, grandparents’ workplaces, etc. Every bit helps.
You can help by:
Making personal introductions to local businesses
Reaching out to employers who match donations
Simply spreading the word!
While registration keeps costs low, the show relies heavily on additional donations to cover:
Costume materials
Props and sets
Rehearsal snacks
Printing, programs, and more
If your family is able, we welcome (but do not expect) a contribution.
Thank you for helping make our show magical for all students!
