The Book Fair/Author Day committee helps to address the needs of the school library, while promoting a love of books and literacy. The committee plans two major events during the school year: Scholastic Book Fair Sale and Author Day.
The Mission PTA is excited to have a newly formed PTA Communications Committee for the 2018-19 school year. This committee has two goals. (1) For every Mission family to have easy access to all PTA information and events. (2) To bring new ideas, new people and new energy to the PTA.
The Family Fun Night Committee plans and coordinates evening activities sponsored by the PTA. Past fun nights have included a craft evening, family dance, fitness workout, and bowling. These events are open to all Mission families and are age appropriate for K-6 students.
The Mission PTA organizes fundraisers throughout the year to finance a variety of programs and projects that support the betterment of our students and school site and continue Mission traditions and activities. Our fundraising committees are always looking for volunteers!
In our effort to continue combining in-depth STEM learning with community service and experiential learning, the Mission PTA planned, installed and supports the school garden as an engaging teaching space where our children can learn but also find respite from their busy day.
The Mission PTA Membership Committee plans our annual membership campaign. The membership chairman/vice president is responsible for creating and implementing the membership plan, promoting membership throughout the year, and collecting dues.
The Missionwear Committee coordinates the design, ordering, and distribution of Mission spirit wear and other merchandise. The committee also staffs the Missionwear booth at various events, including back to school night, the carnival, open house, and more.
The All School Play or Musical Committee organizes and puts on the School Play. The play is open to all Mission students.
